Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Special Procedures Technologist to join our team at Las Palmas Medical Center. As a Special Procedures Technologist, you will be responsible for preparing, operating equipment, and assisting radiologists in performing arteriograms and other special procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Selects and operates equipment, selecting proper technical factors on an individual patient basis
- Ensures proper identification and collimation, using appropriate markers, prints film as required
- Assists physicians in performance of examinations by mixing and pouring contrast media, administering opaque media, holding and turning patients, assisting in sterile procedures
- Participates in Quality Improvement and Safety Programs
- Performs a variety of clerical tasks, including taking advantage of opportunities for continuing education
- High School Graduate or equivalent required
- Ability to examine radiographs for the purpose of evaluating techniques, positions, and other related qualities
- Ability to position patient and adjust equipment to produce desired radiographic image
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
