About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team at The University of Vermont Health Network. As a Laboratory Technician, you will perform specialized, non-testing procedures in support of various laboratory sections. You will work directly with patients performing phlebotomy duties and EKGs. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with patients and has excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform phlebotomy duties and EKGs on patients
  • Work with licensed laboratory staff to answer technical questions
  • Provide excellent patient care and communicate effectively with patients and families

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products and data entry programs desired
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills both written and verbal required

Compensation

$45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
