Job Title: Shift Lead

At 48forty Solutions and Relogistics Services, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shift Lead to join our team. As a Shift Lead, you will play a critical role in overseeing the daily operations of our distribution center, ensuring that our employees are working safely and efficiently to meet our performance standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate daily, weekly, and monthly goals to employees to ensure site performance standards are met
  • Under the direction of the On-Site Manager, promote a safe working environment and ensure Safety Standards are met
  • Conduct Safety Meetings with employees and establish expectations
  • Communicate with customers regarding any needs or concerns
  • Coach, train, provide feedback, and hold employees accountable as needed
  • Complete all production paperwork with accuracy
  • Communicate directly with the On-Site Manager regarding any employee issues
  • Loading and unloading materials from trailers
  • Moving pallets or material on pallets or in crates around the storage facility
  • Stacking pallets or materials in the correct manner, following inventory control instructions
  • Checking to ensure loads are secure
  • Ensuring daily equipment checks on all Industrial power equipment are performed
  • Follow instructions for operating equipment and maintain accurate records
  • Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards
  • Organize and maintain file systems, file correspondence, and other records
  • Perform basic financial data entry
  • Execute assignments in an accurate, timely, and safe manner
  • May be required to assist with forklift driver duties, as needed
Requirements:
  • Supervisor or Lead experience preferred
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Good math, language, and reading skills with attention to detail, along with basic computer skills
  • High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Forklift certification per OSHA standards
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and employees
  • Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights

  • Ability to work in extreme conditions, including elements, heat, cold, and air particulate
  • Repetitively adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts of varying lengths
  • The employee is frequently required to sit, talk, hear, walk, and use hands to handle, feel, and reach
  • The noise level in the work environment is dependent on location
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection is mandatory at several locations, safety shoes)
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision
  • Must have a good sense of balance and good eye-hand-foot coordination
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
