Role Summary:
The Assembly Technician will be tasked with preparing and assembling rotating equipment, along with the necessary documentation. This role involves assembling various tools and equipment while adhering to testing requirements. Furthermore, the technician will handle disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and reassembly during repair processes.
Utilizing modern materials and tools, this position aims to ensure the delivery of high-quality products to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble components and parts following detailed drawings, instructions, and work orders, emphasizing quality and precision.
- Perform inspections with precision measuring instruments to confirm that all assemblies meet required specifications.
- Utilize hand tools and equipment, including hydraulic torque wrenches and fire torches, to complete assembly tasks.
- Identify and resolve assembly issues, demonstrating a results-driven approach.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper assembly of all components, adhering to established procedures.
- Comply with all safety protocols and utilize required personal protective equipment.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in assembly or manufacturing environments.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including blueprints.
- Proficient in writing routine reports and communicating effectively with peers and supervisors.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
- Basic math skills, including the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and policies.
- Strong teamwork and continuous improvement skills.
- Customer-service oriented mindset focused on timely delivery and quality workmanship.
- Must provide own toolbox and mechanic's tools.
Preferred Experience/Skills:
- Experience in a workshop setting.
- Knowledge of automation controls and electrical components.
- Background as a mechanic for rotating machinery or general mechanical experience.
- General certificate of education or vocational training.
- High School Diploma/GED with 3+ years of relevant experience.
