Gentiva Hospice is seeking a compassionate and skilled Spiritual Care Specialist to join our team. As a Hospice Chaplain, you will provide spiritual support and care to patients and their families in the Akron/Cleveland area.
Key Responsibilities- Provide spiritual services to hospice patients and families, including counseling, prayer, and ministry.
- Develop and implement spiritual care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Visit patients and families to assess their spiritual needs and provide support.
- Assist the team in understanding the spiritual concerns related to patient and family responses to dying.
- Serve as a liaison and resource for community spiritual leaders.
- Assist in training and education on spiritual care for hospice staff, volunteers, and community members.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in theology, religion, human services, counseling, psychology, or sociology.
- One unit of Association of Clinical Pastoral Education, Inc. (ACPE)-accredited CPE.
- Two years of experience in spiritual care ministry or program.
- Demonstrated ability to work with patients, families, and community spiritual leaders of various denominations and beliefs.
