We are currently seeking a Lead Accounting Specialist to enhance our expanding corporate accounting team. This role will play a vital part in assisting the CFO and Controller with the various responsibilities of the Finance department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts reviews, prepares, reconciles, and analyzes financial records and reports by utilizing established accounting methodologies.
  • Contributes to the formulation of financial forecasts and projections.
  • Monitors and verifies accounting records and transactions for precision, promptness, and adequacy of supporting documentation.
  • Ensures adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Examines and evaluates reports for accuracy before dissemination.
  • Investigates and clarifies issues as required.
  • Provides insights for the creation of accounting applications, reports, forms, records, and documented procedures.
  • Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and excel in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Undertakes additional related tasks as assigned.

Job Accountabilities:

  • Verifies figures and documents for accurate entry, mathematical correctness, and appropriate coding.
  • Classifies, records, and summarizes numerical and financial data through journals, ledgers, or computerized systems.
  • Maintains accounts, ledgers, journals, files, reports, and other documentation for departmental or organizational accounts.
  • Determines current financial standings to generate schedules, summary reports, trial balances, income statements, and/or financial statements in line with accounting practices.
  • Reconciles accounts with the organizational financial system.
  • Performs specialized accounting duties, including monitoring receivables, managing cash or negotiable items, and related inventory processes.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • Experience: 5+ Years
  • Expertise: Proficient understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, including cost accounting.
  • Familiarity with Joint Venture accounting or accounting for multiple related legal entities is advantageous.
