Xperience XRG Prep Cook Job Description

At Xperience XRG, we're seeking a skilled Prep Cook to join our team. As a Prep Cook, you'll play a vital role in preparing cooking ingredients, sauces, and simple dishes to ensure our guests receive exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare all hot and cold restaurant foods to meet our high standards.
  • Develop and maintain a prep sheet to ensure all necessary items are prepared or ordered.
  • Communicate effectively with Chefs to ensure timely preparation and presentation of dishes.
  • Properly store and label all food items to maintain product freshness.
  • Set up, operate, and clean all kitchen machinery and equipment.
  • Maintain knowledge of equipment maintenance and handling procedures.
  • Work efficiently to minimize costs and expenses.
  • Demonstrate expertise in all kitchen areas, including knife skills and menu knowledge.
  • Assist Chefs as needed to ensure seamless service execution.
  • Communicate with management, chefs, and service staff to address guest needs and concerns.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma preferred.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • 18+ years of age.
  • Possession of or ability to obtain all state required work cards.
  • Minimum of one year related experience.
  • Advanced knife skills.
  • Proper food storage knowledge.
  • Proper lifting techniques.
  • Guest relations.
  • Sanitation and safety.
  • Full service kitchen operations.

Working Conditions:
  • Work indoors and/or outdoors, exposed to hot and/or cold surfaces, steam, and wet floors.
  • Work in a fast-paced, high-volume, full-service restaurant environment.
  • Work varied shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to walk long periods of time.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Ability to repeat the same movements for long periods of time.
  • Ability to understand the speech of another person.
  • Ability to speak clearly so listeners can understand.
  • Ability to push and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
