Position Overview: MedChi, The Maryland State Medical Society is seeking a qualified Neurologist with board certification in Sleep Medicine. The role involves providing a blend of telehealth services and occasional in-person consultations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and manage various sleep disorders such as sleep apnea, narcolepsy, and restless legs syndrome.
- Prescribe and adjust positive airway pressure (PAP) settings, and evaluate sleep-related ventilatory disorders.
- Interpret both home and in-lab sleep studies and sleep oximetry independently.
- Deliver telemedicine consultations and care across multiple clinic locations.
- Engage in inpatient telemedicine consultations and outpatient sleep clinic operations.
- Provide periodic on-call telemedicine coverage in general neurology.
Work Schedule: This position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, with on-call responsibilities handled via telehealth during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Benefits: The position offers a comprehensive benefits package including:
- 26 days of paid vacation and 13 days of sick leave.
- 10 paid Federal holidays.
