Job Summary

This position is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of various components and equipment associated with our high-pressure natural gas Storage and Transmission assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate facilities in a safe and efficient manner to meet production/throughput requirements.
  • Repair and maintain liquid centrifugal pumps and positive displacement pumps.
  • Record all equipment and operational data accurately and legibly.
  • Inspect, repair, and adjust pressure regulators, relief valves, and shutdown devices on rotating equipment.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on pumps, valves, motors, and bearings.
  • Repair or replace electric motors, shafts, and bearings in overhead cooler fans and pumps.
  • Assist in the repair of equipment such as regulators, valves, pumps, gauges, filters, cooler fans, air compressors, and air dryers.
  • Comply with Company, State, and Federal safety and environmental regulations.
  • Perform welding and cutting work as necessary for equipment maintenance.
  • Perform pipe fitting, plumbing, and ditching work for pipeline installation or repairs.
  • Replace filter elements as required.
  • Operate and maintain valves and valve operators of various types and sizes.
  • Accept changes in work schedule and be available for shift work, including short notice/no notice overtime and extended shift coverage.
  • Perform various duties to maintain the Company's buildings, facilities, equipment, and rights-of-way for neat and orderly appearances.
  • Safely and effectively work to accomplish assigned tasks, including the operation of forklifts and aerial platforms.
  • Perform asset inspections, including painting and applying protective coatings.
  • Obtain and document surface wellhead pressures and flows as assigned.
  • Change surface equipment pressure and flow recording charts as assigned.
  • Place surface wellhead equipment online or offline.
  • Conduct Transmission City Gate Regulating Station inspections, including changing pressure and flow recording charts as assigned.
  • Recognize Abnormal Operating Conditions (AOCs) and take appropriate actions.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record and ability to obtain a CDL within the probationary period.
  • Previous experience with mechanical systems and operations.
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret written materials, including understanding drawings, blueprints, and charts.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interpret information in both verbal and written formats.
  • Ability to utilize computers for accomplishing work tasks.
  • Ability to pass classification certification testing and Operator Qualification written and demonstrative tasks.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work at elevated heights, walk for extended periods, stoop, bend, crawl, and lift up to 100 pounds. The ability to utilize hand tools, shovels, brooms, and other equipment is also required. A keen sense of smell, hearing, vision, and color identification is necessary. The position requires working in all types of terrain and weather conditions and wearing Fire Retardant Clothing and Personnel Protective Equipment.
