We are seeking a compassionate and resilient Registered Nurse to join our team at the Otero County Processing Center in Chaparral, MN. As a Correctional RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to underserved populations in a unique and rewarding setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform duties concerned with the care of the sick and injured, prevention of illness, and promotion of good health in compliance with MTC Medical and customer directives.
- Attend sick call with physicians, prepare examining rooms, and operate pill call.
- Administer medication, accurately document treatment, and maintain absolute security and confidentiality of all medical records.
- Review medical files, monitor potential catastrophic illnesses, and comply with pharmacy laws.
- Provide health counseling, health education, and prepare narrative, statistical, summary, and operational records.
- Degree in nursing, current, valid nursing license for the state of New Mexico or compact state.
- CPR certification and valid driver's license in the state of New Mexico or Texas with an acceptable driving record.
- Must work within New Mexico state board of nursing scope of practice.
- Competitive pay rate of $40 per hour.
