Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Duke Health Integrated Practice. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms, providing exceptional patient care, and collaborating with our healthcare team to deliver outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and adhering to strict safety protocols.
  • Clean and sterilize instruments and equipment, ensuring they are ready for the next procedure.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow.
  • Provide exceptional patient care, addressing their needs and concerns in a compassionate and professional manner.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and technologies.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or completion of the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) certification exam.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a surgical setting, with a strong understanding of sterile technique and surgical procedures.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
