ResponsibilitiesThe selected candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional medical services to our patients. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting evaluations and treatments with proficient medical diagnostic and treatment skills, while coordinating discharge planning with case management.
- Participating in initiatives aimed at enhancing cost-effectiveness and quality of care.
- Accepting patient referrals from fellow physicians and serving as the admitting, attending, or consulting physician for hospitalized patients.
- Engaging in academic programs such as medical education and research as needed.
- Ensuring documentation meets insurance requirements and managing appeals for any denials promptly.
- Participating in both inpatient and outpatient consultations, which may include on-call responsibilities.
Licensure/Certification:
- Required: Physician MD/DO credentialed by the Maryland Board of Physicians prior to the hire date or job transfer date, verified by the local Credentialing Office.
- Preferred: Advanced Life Support certification from the American Heart Association (AHA), verified by the local Credentialing Office.
Education: A Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree is required.
