Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Neurophysiology Technician to join our team at Brigham and Women's Hospital. As a Neurophysiology Technician, you will be responsible for performing electroencephalogram (EEG) procedures, taking patient histories, and maintaining EEG equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform EEG procedures, including electrode placement and calibration
  • Take complete histories from patients or medical records
  • Maintain EEG equipment, including cleaning and disinfecting
  • Conform to laboratory policies and procedures regarding OSHA, Joint Commission, and hospital regulations
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the central nervous system, diseases related to Neurodiagnostic medicine, instrumentation, basic electronics, and electrical safety
  • Participate in Laboratory Quality Assurance programs
  • Stock laboratory with supplies and linens as indicated
  • Clean laboratory and maintain its appearance
Requirements
  • Graduate of or currently enrolled in an Accredited Electrodiagnostic Program or certified hospital program preferred
  • High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred
Work Environment

This is a per diem position at our Boston Main Campus. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong attention to detail.
