Excavator Technician

CJ Hughes Construction is seeking a skilled Pipelayer to join our team.

Estimated Annual Salary: $49,195.20

About the Job:

This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced Pipelayer to utilize their skills in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, including various size excavators and skid steers, while working around buried and existing utilities.

The position requires a high level of proficiency in operating heavy equipment and working in extreme weather conditions. Overnight stays and working overtime are also required. Candidates must pass and maintain DOT Operator Qualifications training/testing.

1. Operate heavy equipment, including various size excavators and skid steers, in a safe and appropriate manner.
2. Work in extreme weather conditions and perform a substantial amount of intense physical labor.
3. Pass and maintain all required operator tests and operator qualifications
4. Work independently and as a crew member.
5. Operate equipment in close proximity to workers and underground utilities.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
• Pre and Post Hire - Must pass and maintain all required certifications, operator qualifications, and/or any other required tests

Location:

Candidates must be willing to relocate before starting work. Travel is required 100% of the time.
