Lead Bookseller

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Bookseller to join our team at Barnes & Noble. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences, driving sales growth, and leading a high-performing bookselling team.

• Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction
• Lead and manage a team of booksellers to achieve sales goals and operational excellence
• Collaborate with the store management team to develop and implement store operations and customer experience initiatives
• Provide coaching and development opportunities to booksellers to enhance their skills and knowledge
• Ensure a vibrant and engaging store environment that showcases our products and services
• Work closely with the cluster commercial support team to optimize inventory, pricing, and assortment strategies
• Manage store operations, including receiving, returns, and day-to-day processes, to ensure efficient and effective execution
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement changes to enhance the customer experience and store operations

• Proven experience in bookselling and leadership roles, with a strong track record of driving sales growth and improving customer satisfaction
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team
• Strong operational knowledge and ability to manage store operations effectively
• Ability to work collaboratively with the store management team and cluster commercial support team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes
