Position Summary:This role requires a skilled and experienced Critical Care Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. The successful candidate will utilize the nursing process to deliver developmentally appropriate care, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide a comprehensive plan of care.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric critical care, with experience in managing complex patient cases and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Job Profile:This role requires a high level of professional knowledge and practical expertise in pediatric critical care. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of best practices and be able to apply this knowledge in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, receiving minimal guidance, and will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Job Specific Responsibilities:The successful candidate will be responsible for prescribing, delegating, and coordinating patient care, utilizing clinical judgment to develop an appropriate plan of care. They will also be accountable for ensuring that patient care meets standards of safety, effectiveness, patient rights, and guest relations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric critical care, with experience in managing complex patient cases and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
How You'll Be Successful:To be successful in this role, you will need to have at least 1.5 years of job-related pediatric acute critical care experience, a four-year Bachelor's degree in Nursing, and a current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas. You will also need to have Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification, PALS/NRP certification, and PACES certification with 180 days.
