Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at GPAC. As an Aviation Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for inspecting aircraft engine assembly activities and products to ensure conformance with government, FAA, DOT, and company standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect installation and operation of engine parts and equipment
  • Inspect work areas and practices to detect potential unsafe conditions
  • Read and understand technical information from work instructions, drawings, manuals, standards, and specifications
  • Use inspection tools and test equipment applicable to the activity
  • Perform necessary work registers as requested by production and quality documents
  • Prepare technical reports of quality deviations for engineering analysis
  • Support process of preventive and corrective actions plan analysis
Requirements:
  • Valid FAA Powerplant certificate
  • At least 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably with Part A knowledge of Federal Air Regulations
  • Working knowledge of precision measuring tools, including calipers and micrometer
  • Previous inspection experience preferred
  • Engine shops experience a bonus
  • Borescope Inspection experience is preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Technician role requiring basic skills to perform most of the standard tasks within the technical area assigned
  • 0-3 years of experience in area of responsibility, with experience as an aircraft A&P Mechanic and two years inspection experience in a production environment
  • Prior Inspector work experience with aerospace quality systems that meet FAA requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Ability to read technical documents and interpret information in the metric system
  • Understanding of procedures and ability to act in problem-solving, suggesting improvements
  • Safety and operating procedures for power-on aircraft
  • Application and use of precision measurement instruments and test equipment
  • Team worker
  • Logic thinking
  • Detail oriented
  • Subject to random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations
  • Annual vision test

  • 5 years (Preferred)

  • Quality inspection: 5 years (Preferred)
