About the Role

Shriners Children's is seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Intensivist to join our team at Shriners Children's Ohio in Dayton. As a critical care specialist, you will be responsible for the medical management of all patients on the unit, working closely with attending burn/critical care surgeons.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-level pediatric critical care clinical services to patients, including history and physical examinations, interpreting patient data, and developing treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
  • Participate in daily rounds, patient teaching, and follow-up care.
  • Conduct research and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Supervise and teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accredited pediatric residency program.
  • Board certification or board eligibility in pediatric critical care.
  • Relevant fellowship training in pediatric critical care.
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of OH and DEA license.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
