Job Summary:

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine and complex laboratory procedures, ensuring accurate results, and maintaining high-quality standards. They will also assist with training new employees, participate in quality control programs, and demonstrate a strong commitment to teamwork and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform all routine and complex laboratory procedures in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure critical values are recognized and documented correctly.
  • Assist with training new employees and participate in quality control programs.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and workload demands, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach.
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have a strong background in histology and laboratory procedures. A degree from an approved education program and certification as a Histotechnician (ASCP) or Histotechnologist (ASCP) within one year are required. You should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues and communicate with patients and families.

Work Environment:

This is a full-time position, requiring flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment. The selected candidate will work in a state-of-the-art laboratory setting, utilizing advanced equipment and technology to deliver high-quality results.

Salary:

The estimated salary for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
