We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced faculty member to join our team as an Assistant Professor of Instruction in Sound Production and Post-Production. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching film sound design courses at introductory, intermediate, and advanced levels to undergraduate and graduate students in the RTVF department and the MA program in Sound Arts & Industries.
Key Responsibilities- Teach film sound design courses, including introductory, intermediate, and advanced levels, to undergraduate and graduate students in the RTVF department and the MA program in Sound Arts & Industries.
- Teach courses in other film and/or media arts practices, such as cinematography, field recording, editing, directing, game design, installation, etc.
- Participate in curricular planning and student advising.
- Professional practice and/or creative activity in sound production, post-production, and design.
- Teaching experience in sound design for film.
- Skill(s) in other filmmaking and/or media arts sufficient to teach them at introductory and intermediate levels.
- A terminal degree (MFA or PhD) in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
- Prior teaching experience in sound design and/or media arts.
- Professional practice and/or creative activity in sound production, post-production, and design.
