About the Role

In this critical care respiratory professional position, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and treatment plans for critically ill adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients at Christus Health.

The successful candidate will possess excellent clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. You will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans, perform various technical procedures, and ensure accurate documentation and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals;
  • Utilize advanced respiratory care techniques, including therapeutic gas management, hemodynamic monitoring, and waveform analysis;
  • Participate in Code Blue and White response situations and emergency preparedness training;
  • Conduct pulmonary function testing, bronchoscopy assist, and other advanced practice skills as needed;
  • Maintain accurate and complete records and reports, adhering to regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field preferred;
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification by NBRC required;
  • Current ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required;
  • 3+ years of experience in respiratory care required;
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
