Direct Support Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Direct Support Specialist. As a Direct Support Specialist, you will work closely with adults who have brain injuries, providing them with the support and care they need to live happy and meaningful lives.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with daily activities such as eating, dressing, and using special equipment.
Provide home support, including cooking meals, cleaning, doing laundry, shopping for groceries, and keeping the home cozy.
Drive residents to appointments, events, and other activities.
Keep records of daily activities and track important information.
Support residents in achieving their personal goals.
Administer medication once trained.
Complete required training and certifications.
Work closely with your team and follow instructions from your manager.
Requirements:
Kindness and a desire to help others.
No educational requirements - we will train you.
Valid driver's license for at least 6 months and a good driving record.
Physical ability to perform all tasks needed and ensure the safety of residents.
Basic computer skills.
Benefits:
We offer a competitive hourly rate of $18.00-$20.00, plus a $2.00 wage differential for Medication Administration Program (MAP) certification. Additionally, we offer paid vacation leave, paid sick leave, paid holidays, paid personal leave, and a 403(b) retirement plan with a 1-to-1 match up to 4% by ServiceNet after one year. We also offer comprehensive dental insurance, pre-tax flexible spending accounts for medical and dependent care expenses, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, and voluntary supplemental life insurance.
