Respite Nurse

Eliot is seeking a highly skilled Respite Nurse to join our dedicated team of Mental Health professionals in the Lowell area. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality care to adults with persistent and severe mental illness through our Respite residential program and outreach service.

• Medical Guidance and Education: Provide education and consultation to consumers and staff on medical health, medication, and medical topics.
• Individualized Training: Offer one-on-one training to consumers in specific areas of need.
• Group Training and Development: Develop and conduct groups and trainings for consumers and staff on general areas of health and wellness, including nutrition, exercise, and smoking cessation.
• Community Resource Coordination: Assist consumers in accessing community resources to support their health and wellness efforts.
• Medical Condition Oversight: Provide guidance and assistance to consumers in understanding their medical conditions.
• Medical Consultation and Coordination: Meet with consumers and staff to discuss medical diagnoses, conditions, causes, symptoms, complications, and treatment options.
• Direct Medical Care: Perform direct medical care for consumers as appropriate and ordered by physician, including monitoring of vitals, wound care, and interventions specific to consumer Individualized Action Plans (IAPs).
• Medical Documentation Review: Review all medical documentation for each consumer and provide medical care consultation and coordination as needed.
• Medical Care Coordination: Assist in coordinating overall medical care for consumers and ensuring medical follow-up is done as needed.
• Health and Wellness Interventions: Provide interventions to consumers focusing on education and skills training in relation to health and wellness issues.

This is a part-time position working Thursday-Saturday, 11pm-9am (30 hours per week). The compensation for this role is $54,420.00 per year.
