Job Overview

PARR is a leading provider of building materials and solutions to professional home builders. We are seeking a skilled Truss Designer II to join our team.

This role is responsible for creating designs based on customer needs, working closely with the sales team, and collaborating with job site supervisors to ensure issues are resolved properly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design trusses that conform to building requirements and codes
  • Read and interpret blueprints provided by customers
  • Collaborate with the sales team and others as necessary
  • Visit job sites to ensure issues are resolved properly
  • Maintain detailed records and reports of related information on a job-to-job basis
Requirements
  • 4 years of previous experience in a similar job
  • 2 years of prior experience within the construction industry
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Ability to speak, write, and read English
  • Proficient at reading blueprints
  • Knowledgeable in the construction industry
  • Proficient at working with design software
  • Strong math skills
  • Ability to operate personal computer, smartphone, scanner, and any other equipment necessary for the job
  • Ability to type 40+ WPM
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Reliable transportation
