Job Summary

As a Nursing Assistant at Indiana Regional Medical Center, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. This position requires a strong foundation in nursing skills, knowledge, and techniques to meet the unique needs of our medical-surgical patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide basic nursing care to patients, including vital sign monitoring, wound care, and medication administration.
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and develop care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in direct patient care (preferably in a medical-surgical setting).
  • Successful completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant Program (or equivalent certification).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtain within 1 month of hire).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
