Job Summary:

As a Maintenance Technician II at SSM Health, you will be responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on facilities, equipment, and associated systems. This includes fire systems, tube systems, equipment repair, nurse call systems, infant abduction systems, life safety components, paging systems, medical gas systems, and lock and door repair.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform repairs according to work orders or verbal instructions and compile proper documentation following established policies and procedures.
  • Identify and request parts and components needed to complete tasks.
  • Work with vendors, contractors, and factory representatives to repair and replace equipment.
  • Perform basic plumbing and electrical repairs and appliance repairs.
  • Perform carpentry and minor construction projects.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Two years' experience in maintenance and repair.

Work Environment:

This role requires constant standing and walking, frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing 0-25 lbs, and occasional lifting and carrying of objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
