POSITION OVERVIEW

The Grand Sierra Resort and Casino is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to become part of our Food & Beverage team as a Bartender. This role is essential in ensuring that guests receive service in a friendly, accommodating, and professional manner, leading to complete guest satisfaction. The Bartender is responsible for organizing and maintaining the bar area to uphold the standards of the establishment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Embodying and demonstrating the GSR Vision and Mission Statement through daily activities.
  • Delivering professional beverage service to all guests and cocktail staff in a friendly and timely manner.
  • Processing guest orders accurately using the POS system, including creating checks and handling payments.
  • Ensuring cleanliness and sanitation of guest areas and equipment, including the removal of empty glasses and bottles, cleaning surfaces, and maintaining overall tidiness.
  • Setting up the bar adequately on a daily basis, including restocking supplies and maintaining equipment.
  • Listening and responding to guest inquiries with a positive attitude, providing accurate information about hotel services and local attractions.
  • Maintaining constant communication with both internal and external customers to ensure optimal service.
  • Completing any additional tasks as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A combination of education, training, or experience that equips the individual with the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Ability to obtain and renew all required licenses and certifications.
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules based on the needs of the hotel.
  • Commitment to exceeding the expectations of both internal and external clients.
  • Exhibiting honesty and respect towards others.
  • Consistently demonstrating courteous and respectful communication.
  • Collaborating effectively with others to achieve common goals.
