Job Summary:

The Aircraft Technician I plays a crucial role in the maintenance and repair of aircraft systems and structures. This position requires close supervision and involves performing or assisting with inspections, maintenance, and repairs under the guidance of experienced technicians.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform Aircraft Inspections and Repairs: Conduct thorough inspections of aircraft systems and structures, identifying areas that require maintenance or repair. Perform repairs and modifications under close supervision, ensuring that all work meets quality standards and specifications.
  2. Assist with Aircraft Movement: Assist with the movement of aircraft as required, ensuring safe and efficient handling.
  3. Complete Administrative Tasks: Properly complete CMP cards, work order sign-offs, and other paperwork in a timely manner, ensuring accurate and efficient record-keeping.
  4. Identify and Store Customer Property: Properly identify and store customer property and equipment, ensuring secure and safe storage.
  5. Operate Ground Support Equipment: Follow standard operating procedures when operating ground support equipment, ensuring safe and efficient use.

Additional Requirements:
  1. Material Tracking and Waste Management: Use the material tracking system to create parts demand and charge labor to work orders, items, and squawks. Properly collect and dispose of waste fuel, oil, hydraulic, and de-icing fluids, and solvent rags.
  2. Tool Maintenance and Safety: Properly use and maintain company-provided tools and equipment, returning items to designated storage areas after use. Comply with safety rules and procedures, using protective equipment as required and being alert for unsafe conditions.
  3. Flight Testing and Certification: In support of aircraft certification and final phase testing, may include flight tests on aircraft as required.

Requirements:

Working knowledge of FAA regulations, process specifications, Repair Station and Quality Control manuals, and company policies and procedures. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
