Job Summary

Soliant is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and addressing students' occupational therapy needs, developing personalized intervention plans, and educating and training families and caregivers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of students' occupational therapy needs to identify areas of strength and weakness.
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to address each student's unique needs, with a focus on promoting independence and functional skills.
  • Educate students and their families about occupational therapy, its benefits, and effective management techniques to ensure a collaborative approach to student support.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress and ensure a cohesive approach to student support.
  • Provide direct therapy to students in individual or group settings, with a focus on promoting social, emotional, and physical development.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of student conditions, treatment plans, therapy sessions, and progress to ensure effective communication and collaboration with other professionals.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide recommendations for student support to ensure a comprehensive approach to student education.
  • Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in occupational therapy to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to occupational therapy assistants as needed to ensure effective support and development of staff.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in the field, with a focus on promoting excellence in occupational therapy practice.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in an occupational therapy setting, with a focus on working with students in a school setting.
  • Must have a master's degree in Occupational Therapy, with full accreditation (OTR) preferred.
  • Must have a valid state license or be eligible for licensure.
