Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Fort Eisenhower, GA. As a Physician Assistant, you will provide a full range of outcome-based nurse practitioner services in accordance with privileges granted by the MTF.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing a full range of outcome-based nurse practitioner services, including supervising and providing general screening and medical care and examinations of patients for routine, acute and chronic conditions involving any and all organ systems.
- Technically directing and teaching other staff, providing evidenced-based educational lectures and participating in in-service training to staff members.
- Diagnosing and treating patients with common acute conditions, chronic illnesses, or minor trauma within accepted protocols, clinical practice guidelines, Nurse Practice Acts, and/or in consultation with a physician.
- Promoting preventive care and health maintenance, including annual physicals, positive health behaviors, and self-care through both formal and individual education and counseling.
- Communicating and collaborating with a diverse group of people for the purpose of informing the healthcare team of plans/actions, for teaching/education to benefit the patient/family and organization.
- Recognizing conditions that require isolation and ensuring universal precautions are used in all patient encounters.
- Attending staff meetings to provide case discussion, continuing education, and continuous quality improvement and safety.
Requirements:
- Master in Nursing or Bachelors in Physician Assistant Studies.
- Minimum 2 years experience in a family practice or other primary care setting, within the past 3 years.
- Active, unrestricted license as an NP or PA in any state.
- Board Certification: ANCC or AANP for Nurse Practitioner; NCCPA for Physician Assistant.
- Life Support Certifications: BLS.
- Security: Must be able to pass a Government background check and obtain a Government security clearance.
