Position Summary:
We are in search of ambitious individuals for the role of Production Management Associate to become part of our team. This position serves as a developmental opportunity aimed at grooming candidates for future roles as Production Supervisors and other management positions related to production or corporate manufacturing functions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Utilize knowledge of production processes, machinery, and materials to mentor and assess production staff, identifying areas for enhancement.
2. Assess workforce needs for the department and assist in the recruitment process for both seasonal and permanent positions.
3. Execute entry-level tasks on plant machinery across all departments.
4. Enhance equipment performance and reliability.
5. Propose recommendations for equipment and process enhancements.
6. Direct and prioritize production staff effectively to fulfill production requirements, communicating needs for each shift.
7. Initiate and manage projects assigned by management.
8. Evaluate the necessity and estimated costs for procuring parts, specialized tools, and equipment.
9. Engage in cross-training throughout the entire facility, including production, maintenance, scheduling, quality assurance, and environmental health & safety.
10. Participate in occasional travel for recruitment events and visits to other facilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related fields.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities through academic, volunteer, or professional experiences.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office.
- Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Proven skills in decision-making, analytical thinking, time management, and self-motivation.
- Ability to plan and coordinate large-scale projects.
