We are seeking a highly skilled Executive Sous Chef to join our team at Centerplate. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary leadership and a proven track record of success in managing high-volume food service operations.
- **Key Responsibilities:**
- Supervise and direct the activities of the culinary team to ensure the preparation of high-quality food products.
- Develop and implement menus that meet the needs of our clients and guests.
- Ensure that all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Manage shifts and supervise the preparation and production of food products.
- Train, mentor, and develop other culinary staff to ensure a high level of performance and customer satisfaction.
**Requirements:**
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a culinary leadership position with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience leading a culinary operation with annual revenues in excess of $5 million.
- Ability to promote and participate in a team environment.
- Ability to understand written and oral direction and to communicate same with others.
- AOS or higher degree from a postsecondary culinary arts training program or equivalent professional certification.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- BA/BS Business or Hospitality Degree from an accredited college or university.
- ACF Certified Executive Chef or ACF Certified Culinary Administrator.
**Working Conditions:**
- Subject to wet floors, temperature extremes, and excessive noise.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in weight (pots, pans, etc.).
- Must be able to maneuver in an often tightly-quartered environment.
