Key Responsibilities:
- Product Design for Manufacturability: Spearhead the creation and application of new or modified manufacturing techniques to facilitate the production of new items, enhancements, or process optimizations for existing offerings.
- Process Validation: Design and implement validation protocols for new processes or modifications to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards. Utilize statistical analysis to assess process performance.
- Quality Assurance: Develop and uphold stringent quality control measures to guarantee that products meet or surpass customer expectations and industry benchmarks.
- Documentation Management: Oversee the development and upkeep of manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Technology and Equipment Management: Assess, select, and deploy new manufacturing technologies and equipment to boost productivity and competitiveness.
- Data Analysis: Manage the collection and examination of manufacturing data to identify trends and inform strategic decisions.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to foster a culture of ongoing enhancement within the manufacturing environment.
- Training and Development: Provide technical leadership and mentorship in manufacturing engineering disciplines, nurturing the skills and capabilities of team members.
- Supplier Collaboration: Partner with suppliers to enhance material quality and optimize supply chain logistics.
- Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional projects aimed at refining manufacturing processes and launching new products.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks in manufacturing operations and devise strategies to mitigate them.
Qualifications:
Minimum of several years' experience in Process/Manufacturing Engineering with strong leadership and project management skills. Proficient in mechanical systems, automation concepts, and engineering software. Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma tools is advantageous.
