Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Outpatient Geriatric Psychiatrist to join our esteemed Behavioral Health team. This role focuses on providing comprehensive mental health services to adults aged 65 and older.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments for new patients.
- Manage medication checks and treatment plans for geriatric patients.
- Collaborate with a specialized team of psychiatric professionals.
Work Schedule: This is a full-time position with flexible hours from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Weeknight on-call duties are approximately 2-3 times per month, with no weekend obligations.
Team Structure: You will be part of a robust Adult Psychiatry program, working alongside six adult psychiatrists and four psychiatric hospitalists. Our facility also includes a dedicated team of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Counselors, as well as Psychology and Neuropsychology services.
Additional Information: Our organization emphasizes collaboration at the primary care level, ensuring comprehensive support for our patients. We pride ourselves on our newly renovated adult inpatient unit, providing a conducive environment for both patients and staff.
