The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Hadoop ecosystem components, including MapReduce, Hive, Pig, Spark, Kafka, HBase, HDFS, and Zookeeper. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing Hadoop infrastructure, ensuring high availability, and providing excellent support to our business users.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and manage Hadoop clusters for large-scale data processing and analytics.
  • Develop and maintain scripts for cluster maintenance, troubleshooting, and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with application teams to install operating system and Hadoop updates, patches, and version upgrades.
  • Ensure all changes to production systems are planned and approved in accordance with the Change Management process.
  • Monitor Hadoop cluster connectivity and security, file system management, and performance tuning.
  • Investigate and analyze new technical possibilities, tools, and techniques to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with the team to meet Service Level Agreement (SLA) targets and ensure all changes are properly documented.
Requirements:
  • 8-12 years of total experience with at least 5 years of work experience in developing, maintaining, and optimizing Hadoop clusters.
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages, including Python, Scala, Java, and debugging skills.
  • Experience in Hadoop ecosystem components, including MapReduce, Hive, Pig, Spark, Kafka, HBase, HDFS, and Zookeeper.
  • Hands-on experience in SQL and NoSQL databases, including performance optimization.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills, analytical and problem-solving skills.
