This is a rewarding opportunity for a Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our healthcare team at TriStar Summit Medical Center. As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will work in our LDRP unit, providing direct patient care and utilizing therapeutic communication to maintain a safe therapeutic environment.

  • You will identify nursing problems as they relate to individual patient needs and develop individualized patient care plans using an interdisciplinary approach.
  • You must demonstrate age-specific knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, treatment, and care of patients.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize the nursing process for individual care to meet patient needs and document all patient care.
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment, ensuring patient privacy and confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to foster hospital goals and vision.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities and contribute to creating a positive work environment.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
  • At least one year of RN experience, preferably in Labor and Delivery.
  • BLS certification and ACLS/AWHONN within six months.
  • Current licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or Compact State.
