Job Description

Salary: $120,000 - $160,000 per year.

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team at Human Touch Home Health Care. As an Occupational Therapist with our organization, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients in the comfort of their own homes.

About the Job:

The Occupational Therapist contracted through Human Touch Home Health Care is responsible for implementing standards of care for occupational therapy services and adhering to all conditions outlined in the Service Agreement. Direct patient care provided will be performed as defined by the state Occupational Therapy Practice Act.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patient's functional status (muscle function, endurance, visual coordination, written and verbal communication skills, self-care ability, work capacity, etc.) and identify equipment needs.
  • Develop treatment programs and establish goals for improved function, communicating plans of care to referring physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Teach new skills or retrain patients in once familiar daily activities that have been lost due to illness or injury, in accordance with organizational policy.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records, clinical notes, and reports to physicians any changes in patient condition.
  • Collaborate with other personnel involved in patient care to promote coordinated, efficient care.
  • Participate in discharge planning for patients.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association.
  • Registered with the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association.
  • Two years of clinical experience as an occupational therapist.
  • Demonstrates good verbal and written communication, and organization skills.
  • Possess and maintains current CPR Certification.
  • Licensed driver with automobile that is in good working order and insured in accordance with the organization requirements.
