Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Flight Test Engineer to join our team at Lockheed Martin. As a key member of our Combined Test Force, you will be responsible for conducting flight test planning and execution on the F-22 program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with AFTC engineers to write test plans, flight cards, and problem reports
  • Provide flight test data to verification engineers
  • Act as part of a Combined Test Force including Contractor Test, Developmental Test, and Operational Test Team
  • Validate planned F-22 capabilities for each SW Operational Flight Program (OFP) drop and for new hardware capabilities
  • Communicate issues found and provide information to assist in problem resolution with the Verification Team and Discipline IPTs at Fort Worth and industry suppliers/vendors
  • Advise team, technical leads, and management on overall flight priorities and critical problem reports based on data collected in flight
  • Assist with schedule coordination and participate in real-time control room activities during flight execution
  • Validate F-22 Mission Systems related tests are conducted correctly by actively monitoring real-time telemetry data during flight and data analysis after flight
  • Ensure all test equipment/assets are operational and working
  • Assist with on-aircraft troubleshooting and failure resolution as needed to ensure test aircraft mission capability
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Aerospace, or Engineering (STEM)
  • DoD Secret security clearance
  • Flight Test Electronic Warfare experience
  • Integration and Test Experience
  • Electronic Warfare, Countermeasures Experience
  • ISE/ME Experience
  • BAF EEE experience
  • Data Analysis experience
  • Flight Test experience
  • AFTC process knowledge
  • F-22 Aircraft and Program experience
  • Technical Test Plan/Report writing experience
  • USAF, USN, or USMC aviation experience
