As a vital member of our healthcare team at Deborah Heart and Lung Center, the Clinical Nurse Specialist will engage in a collaborative approach with our esteemed Attending Physicians. This role involves comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients within both outpatient and inpatient settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including cardiologists, nursing staff, and technicians, to ensure optimal patient care and satisfaction.
- Conduct thorough evaluations and manage patient care plans effectively.
Experience Requirements:
Required:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in critical care or telemetry inpatient care.
Preferred:
- Experience in cardiology, either as an Advanced Practice Provider or within nursing.
Educational Qualifications:
Required:
- Master’s degree or higher in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Graduation from an ANA accredited School of Nursing.
Licensure and Credentials:
Required:
- Current New Jersey Registered Nurse license and Advanced Practice Nurse Certification through a recognized specialty association.
- Valid BLS, ACLS, CDS, and DEA licenses.
- Credentialing and clinical privileges must align with established procedures.
Essential Skills:
Required:
- Proficient in electronic health records and database management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; adept in computer usage; organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking.
- Flexibility in scheduling to meet patient and staff needs promptly.
- Commitment to maintaining continuing education credits, fulfilling the recertification requirements for nurse practitioners, including 20 hours of category 1 contact hours annually, with 50% of credits sourced from an ANCC provider.
Work Schedule:
Full-time position requiring 80 hours per pay period.
