About Our Facility:

The Manor at Blue Water Bay is devoted to improving the quality of life for our residents by offering tailored care in a nurturing and friendly atmosphere.

Role Overview:

Deliver speech therapy services to residents in accordance with individualized treatment plans addressing speech, swallowing, and auditory challenges.

Essential Qualifications:

Education & Credentials: Must be a graduate of an accredited speech therapy program with at least a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.

Skills & Competencies: Proficiency in the English language, familiarity with state regulations, and a strong sense of patience and empathy are required.

Experience: A current SLP license, ASHA certification, and prior experience in a healthcare environment are mandatory.

Work Environment:

Engage in the rehabilitation department, resident rooms, and be adaptable to various resident needs and schedules.

Key Competencies:

Professionalism: Foster open communication, encourage teamwork, and participate in mandatory meetings and training sessions.

Respect for Residents: Uphold resident privacy, dignity, and rights consistently.

Safety Protocols: Adhere to safety standards, report potential hazards, and comply with infection control measures.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate residents' speech and swallowing capabilities.
  • Administer speech therapy interventions according to established care plans.
  • Accurately document treatment progress in a timely manner.
  • Oversee rehabilitation aides and SLP-CFYs.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Engage in meetings and educational workshops.
  • Provide in-service training to facility staff.
  • Assist with resident transportation and offer training to families and staff regarding speech therapy.

Work Schedule:

  • 8-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Location:

  • One designated location.

Remote Work:

  • No remote work available.
