We are seeking a highly skilled Senior HPC Systems Administrator to join our team at HexaQuEST Global, Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HPC systems administration, cloud infrastructure, and Linux systems engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage HPC environments on AWS, including Linux/Windows Remote desktop sessions, user onboarding, file permissions, and user groups.
  • Administer HPC job schedulers, such as PBS, Slurm, and LSF, and manage multiple software tools, including installation, configuration, updates, and security patches.
  • Manage software licensing services, customer and vendor communication, and issue triaging and resolution of tickets related to operating systems, AWS infrastructure, and software updates.
  • Develop and maintain automation tools for building, testing, releasing, and monitoring HPC systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of HPC systems with other infrastructure components.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience programming with modern languages, such as Python, PowerShell, C++, and Java.
  • 3+ years of experience in automation and building tools for HPC systems.
  • 5+ years of Linux administration experience, including networking, storage systems, and hands-on systems engineering.
  • 4+ years of experience with AWS cloud services, including EC2, EFS, EBS, S3, Route53, VPC, VPC Peering, and CloudFormation.
  • 1+ years of experience with HPC systems and job schedulers, such as Altair PBS, Slurm, and IBM LSF.
  • 1+ years of experience managing Network License Servers and back-end databases on AWS.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of distributed CAE and FEA simulation tools, such as Ansys, MATLAB, Siemens, Cadence, Comsol, Abaqus, Keysight, Remcom, CST, and Synopsys.
  • Experience with Java/Python/C/C++ based system/application deployment, maintenance, and management.
  • Basic database querying skills, including SQL and NoSQL.
  • Developing systems/applications on AWS cloud.
