Job Title: Travel Nurse RN PACU

Epic Travel Staffing is seeking a skilled travel nurse RN for a challenging opportunity in Phoenix, Arizona.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced RN to join our team in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at Valleywise Medical Center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric and adult critical care, with experience in managing complex patients in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care in the PACU, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient transitions and optimal outcomes.
  • Manage complex patients with varied medical conditions, including trauma, pediatrics, and adult care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patient needs, preferences, and cultural backgrounds.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure accurate and timely information exchange.
Requirements:
  • Current RN licensure in Arizona.
  • 1 year of experience in PICU or ICU and 1 year of phase 1 experience in a mixed peds/adult PACU at a level 1 trauma hospital.
  • Strong background in pediatric and adult critical care, with experience in managing complex patients.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications.
  • Trauma level 1, Pediatrics & Adult care, Central line care/management, IV vasopressors, Care of Ventilated patients, Chest tube management, Malignant Hyperthermia Protocols.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Teaching hospital experience.
  • TNCC certification.
  • Weekend availability.
