Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Comstock Companies is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our luxury apartment building in Ashburn, VA.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents, responding to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and painting.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify and address potential issues.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to continuously improve maintenance processes.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of education.
  • CFC Universal Certification required.
  • At least 1-5 years of experience in maintenance and repair.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems in multi-family housing and mid-to-large-size facility operations.
  • Current driver's license without major violations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook.
  • General understanding and use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Building automation systems experience a plus.
  • Yardi experience is a plus.
  • Exposure to budgeting and basic accounting.
  • Understands elevator maintenance, fire sprinkler/alarm systems, and high-rise buildings.
  • Proficient with computers and relevant computer programs.
  • Outgoing personality with the ability to relate to a diverse group of people and build strong relationships.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team contributor on applicable assignments.
  • Ability to respond to others' needs in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Ability to work after hours and weekends, as needed, including on-call rotation.
