Responsibilities:
  • Build meaningful relationships with seniors and their families, providing assistance with daily living activities and attending to individual care needs.
  • Notify management of changes in condition and recommend adjustments in care and services.
  • Assist residents in life skills and other life-enriching activities, as indicated on their individual profiles.
  • Participate in the development of Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) and monthly updates.
  • Responsible for a designated group of residents during shifts, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Partner with the community team to ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and promote Risk Management programs and policies.
  • Respond to dining needs of residents and guests, maintaining Sunrise hospitality and service standards.
  • Invite, Encourage, and Assist (IEA) residents in life skills and other life-enriching activities, as indicated on their ISP and demographic profiles.
Qualifications:
  • Must be available weekends.
  • Must have a valid HHA certificate.
  • Dedication to serving seniors with excellent customer service skills.
  • Positive attitude, flexibility, and ability to work in a team environment.
  • High School diploma/GED accepted and may be required per state regulations.
  • In states where applicable, must maintain certifications.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
  • Ability to make choices, decisions, and act in the resident's best interest.
  • Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication and a level of understanding.
  • Competent in organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrate good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
