Key Responsibilities
As a Class A CDL Flatbed Transport and Service Operator, your primary duties will include:
- Transporting lumber and finished products using a flatbed trailer.
- Operating forklifts and assisting with various warehouse tasks.
- Conducting vehicle inspections to identify mechanical and safety issues.
- Planning efficient routes and adhering to delivery schedules.
- Documenting work/rest periods and maintaining accurate logs.
- Complying with all relevant driving regulations and company policies.
- Loading and unloading shipments as required.
- Reporting any defects or incidents to management promptly.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A valid Class A CDL license.
- Proven experience as a truck driver and forklift operator.
- Experience with both van and flatbed deliveries.
- Familiarity with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB radios).
- Ability to tarp loads as necessary.
- Physical capability to walk up to a mile throughout the workday.
- In-depth knowledge of applicable truck driving regulations.
- No recent moving violations or driving infractions.
