Physician Assistant

Houston Methodist seeks a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join its team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

This role will involve working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to diagnose and treat patients, develop treatment plans, and provide educational support to patients and families.

The Physician Assistant will also participate in hospital-wide initiatives aimed at improving patient outcomes and reducing costs.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Collaboration and Leadership: Work effectively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care. Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and compassion.
  • Communication and Patient Education: Communicate clearly and concisely with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Educate patients about their conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
  • Clinical Decision-Making: Use sound judgment and evidence-based practices to make informed decisions regarding patient care.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Clinical Operations: Coordinate patient care activities, ensuring seamless transitions between departments and services.
  • Quality and Safety: Identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Financial Stewardship: Contribute to the development and implementation of cost-saving initiatives, while maintaining high standards of quality and service.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Experience: One year of clinical experience.

$120,000 - $180,000 per year
