Job Title: Final Assembly Technician

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Final Assembly Technician to join our team at Astec Industries. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for safely assembling, fitting, and joining components in the production process of heavy and large mechanical products.

Key Responsibilities:

- Use tools properly to make or repair parts and products.
- Collaborate with other line workers to assemble products.
- Comply with all company and industry safety requirements.
- Accurately document tasks and activities.
- Identify and handle defective items according to established procedures.

Requirements:

- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
- Knowledge of commonly used mechanical concepts, practices, and procedures required.
- Relevant trade school or college coursework desired.
- Ability to correctly use and read a tape measure, and read/understand job-related blueprints, required.
- Heavy equipment manufacturing experience desired.
- Ability to read drawings and blueprints accurately.
- Ability to operate overhead cranes and forklifts.
- Computer experience desired, particularly the ability to use a mouse, and locate and open/close files.
