Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Provider to join our team at Family Service and Guidance Center Topeka. As a key member of our Early Childhood Intervention Program (ECIP) or School and Outreach Services (SOS) team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality therapeutic services to children and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and their families.
  • Design and lead group psychoeducational processes, therapeutic activities, and outings to promote social skills development.
  • Model and facilitate skills through engagement with clients, promoting positive relationships and outcomes.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance knowledge and skills in the field of mental health.
  • Collaborate with team members, parents, and school staff to ensure seamless service delivery and effective communication.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including client attendance and progress notes.
  • Document and report attendance issues and client progress to the Program Team Manager.
  • Stay informed about agency and program developments, ensuring alignment with our mission and values.
  • Respect and maintain client confidentiality, upholding the highest standards of professionalism.
  • Support and promote the vision and mission of Family Service and Guidance Center Topeka.
  • Transport clients as needed, utilizing agency or personal vehicles.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by team managers.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; experience working with children with behavioral and emotional health concerns preferred.
  • Valid driver's license, good driving record, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation required.
  • Must pass KBI and DCF Central Registry background investigations.

  • One year of experience working with children.
