- About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet equipment, including class 1-8 diesel and gasoline trucks, trailers, pallet jacks, and forklifts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical repair and maintenance, and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair fleet equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electronic malfunctions, and repair or replace defective parts as needed.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks and inspections on all types of fleet equipment.
- Research and order parts, accurately record usage, and manage stock inventory.
- Complete electronic work orders, and ensure all information is recorded in the computerized maintenance system.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following all Good Manufacturing Process.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; one-year related experience and/or training preferred.
- Valid driver's license required, and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within COMPANY guidelines.
- Ability to maintain safety and security of COMPANY assets.
- Ability to utilize all COMPANY provided resources and technology.

- Physical Requirements:
- Frequent bending, kneeling, overhead reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, exposure to weather, and frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 50lbs.
- Repeated exposure to chemicals, weather, and noise.
- Frequent standing and vehicle operation.
