Join our team as a Fleet Mechanic and enjoy a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 per year

  • About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet equipment, including class 1-8 diesel and gasoline trucks, trailers, pallet jacks, and forklifts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical repair and maintenance, and excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair fleet equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electronic malfunctions, and repair or replace defective parts as needed.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks and inspections on all types of fleet equipment.
  • Research and order parts, accurately record usage, and manage stock inventory.
  • Complete electronic work orders, and ensure all information is recorded in the computerized maintenance system.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following all Good Manufacturing Process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; one-year related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required, and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within COMPANY guidelines.
  • Ability to maintain safety and security of COMPANY assets.
  • Ability to utilize all COMPANY provided resources and technology.

  • Physical Requirements:
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, overhead reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, exposure to weather, and frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 50lbs.
  • Repeated exposure to chemicals, weather, and noise.
  • Frequent standing and vehicle operation.
