About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Airport Operations Manager to join our team at Atlantic Aviation. In this critical role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our FBO Line Department, ensuring safe and efficient service delivery to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Directly manage FBO Line Supervisors and CSR Supervisors, as well as indirectly supervise other operational employees.
  • Develop and maintain site practices and procedures that foster a safe, profitable, positive, and enjoyable work environment.
  • Ensure departments and personnel have adequate resources and inventory to maintain safe and efficient operations while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Provide expert training to employees, with proper documentation to evidence such training as per NATA's 'Safety First' procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date on company policies and tools, ensuring location compliance with current operational and safety requirements and standard operating procedures (SOP).
  • Manage and ensure consistent adherence to service operations in line with policies and procedures.
  • Oversee personnel, equipment, and resources to ensure optimal scheduling and cost control.
  • Maintain working knowledge of specific aircraft refueling instructions, ground marshalling, turning, loading, and unloading.
  • Ensure ground service, fueling, and hangar equipment/supplies operate safely.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews of direct reports, offering counseling, motivation, and disciplinary action as necessary.
  • Organize periodic departmental meetings and facilitate communication between staff and management.
  • Coordinate facility maintenance and improvement initiatives.
  • Initiate emergency and incident response procedures when required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Valid state driver's license and at least 18 years of age.
  • NATA Certification.
  • No less than ten years of progressive experience in FBO Management, the airline industry, or equivalent aviation-related field, demonstrating ramp operations and management capabilities.
  • Aptitude for supervising and developing staff.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Consistently demonstrated organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Participation in Atlantic Leadership Training.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent customer relations skills.
